Pre-School Manager

We are seeking a new Manager to lead our enthusiastic staff and provide a caring and nurturing environment for the children at our community Pre-School.

You will successfully lead a team of staff to provide a safe and high quality learning environment for the children in our Pre-School. Your knowledge of Ofsted and EYFS requirements will ensure that you are meeting all required statutory obligations.

Your ability to communicate will allow you to build successful working relationships with both staff and families to ensure the continued success of our Pre-School. As a natural leader you will be able to run the Pre-School on a daily basis, ensuring staff are appropriately deployed and engaged in their day ensuring the happiness of the children.

You will have overall responsibility for the Pre-School ensuring that appropriate assessment and development continues for the children.

The Manager is supported by two part time administrators, allowing the successful candidate to focus their efforts on the day to day running of the Pre-School and the children in the setting.

As a charity, it is important to us that the successful candidate has a positive and willing attitude and is able to engage in the improved efficiency of the Pre-School moving forward.

  • 35 hours per week, term time. Some holiday administrative hours will be required, at no more than 7 hours per week from home.

  • The 35 hours will consist of approximately 3.5 days in the setting (approximately 8.00am – 3.30pm) and the remainder of the hours worked as admin hours from home. This split may be negotiable.

  • The manager will be required to attend pre-arranged meetings outside of the usual contracted hours.

Pay: Up to £12.50 per hour dependent on experience.

Start Date: The successful candidate will have full responsibility for the role from September 2022. However, to ensure a successful handover from our current Manager, we wish to appoint a new Manager from Term 5, preferably on a gradual increase of hours reaching full time by the end of Term 6. These arrangements are subject to agreement with the successful candidate.
