Penenden Heath Pre-School is a charity that is run by an elected committee of Trustee's. At least 60% of our trustee's are parents and carers of exisitng children meaning that we are proud to be lead by our own community.
The Committee is elected at our Annual General Meeting in October, which all parents are invited to attend.
It consists of:
Chairperson – Chairs meetings, deals with management, financial and staffing issues.
Secretary – Responsible for minute taking at meetings
Treasurer – Monitors the fundraising account, banking, signs cheques, liaise with the Business Manager.
Co-chair – Assists the Chairperson in their role.
Plus up to 8 additional General members – who take on various jobs ranging from fund-raising, organising parties, helping out at events and so on.
The Committee meets once per term (six times per year). The meetings are informal and give you a good opportunity to become involved in what happens at the Pre-School, support your child’s learning and development as well as being a great way to meet other parents. If you are interested in becoming involved, please speak to either Jody or Sara at the door at Pre-School.
We also have a dedicated fundraising committee:
This committee is responsible for...
Meeting the needs of the Pre-School – from helping to tidy the garden to helping out at the parties.
Organising fundraising to provide toys, books and parties.
The committee raise significant funds via scavenger hunts, silent auctions, race and quiz nights and cake sales.
