How to get involved
There are a variety of ways that you can get involved while your child attends the Penenden Heath Pre-School.
Donations
As we are a registered charity that does not make a profit all donations given to the Pre-School are gratefully received. Items like boxes of tissues, black sacks, spray cleaners and green jay clothes are always useful and requests for an item may be sent out if our stock becomes low.
Monetary donations are of course welcome! If you'd like to donate in this way, you can use our SumUp shop here: Penenden Heath Preschool (sumupstore.com) We do pay a small fee on payments through this process, so if you'd rather donate directly, please email info@penendenheathpreschool.co.uk to find out how to donate by BACs.
Purchase from our Amazon Wishlist
When you purchase direct from the wishlist, the purchase can be sent direct to Pre-School and the item is then removed from the list. It's a great way to make a donation when you're not sure what to buy as Mrs Hartridge frequently updates the list with items which would greatly benefit the children.

Register for Easyfundraising
Easyfundraising is a cash-back website which earns money for Pre-School when you make a purchase over the internet. It takes just a few minutes to do…. All you have to do is go to the website, register as a user and select Penenden Heath Pre-School as your charity.
When you want to buy something, simply go to: http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk and purchase your items selecting one of over 2000 retailers on the scheme. We will then get back up to 15% of your order value at NO extra cost to you.

Help out at a session

Practical jobs

– Cutting out for craft activities
– Washing tea towels
– Photocopying letters, etc – b/w or colour
– Helping at fundraising events
– Carpentry skills, e.g. repairing tables
– Electrics and plumbing
– Accounting
– Gardening
– PC knowledge
– Any other relevant skills that you feel may be helpful.
Fundraising
Various fund-raising activities take place throughout the year to raise funds for the Pre-School.
Previous fundraising included Christmas and Easter Fairs, Silent Auctions, a Scavenger Hunt, Quiz Night and Scholastic Books. Commission has also been raised from a photographer and through selling tea towels. This enabled us to fund entertainment for the Christmas and Summer parties and organise a leavers trip to Tylands Barn, replace a storage shed and repair the safety flooring in our Pre-School garden.
In both 2020 and 2021 we successfully ran a Christmas Lights Trail in Penenden Heath. Maps were available to purchase in local shops and online and great fun was had by all. Perhaps your house will be the winner this year?!

Committee
Penenden Heath Pre-School is a charity-based organisation that is run by an elected committee.
The committee is responsible for:
Meeting the needs of the Pre-School – from helping to tidy the garden to helping out at the parties.
Organising fund-raising to provide toys, books and parties.
